Lilies & Lace Beauty Co. was approached by the talented Kayla Head of Kayla Lynn Photography to collaborate on a styled shoot set to take place at Moraine Lake and Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel with the lovely newlyweds James and Shauna. Yuki Toyoda and myself excitedly jumped on board!

The inspiration we were given was natural and glam with a slight moody twist. Yuki created a glorious curly up do with soft tendrils framing Shauna’s face. The back included intricate braiding that was the perfect combination of soft yet structured. For makeup, I created a moody lip by mixing black eyeshadow and red lipstick. As for her skin I opted for glow and dewy and glistening sparkly eyes. James has awesome curly hair that needed only slight tousling. Why is it so easy for guys?

The result is absolutely breathtaking. Each collaborator helped in creating this luxurious and glamorous styled shoot. Not only was Moraine Lake the perfect backdrop for it’s epic sparkling blue waters and mountains, but Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel gave this shoot the timeless and luxe vibes it paired so beautifully with.

Shauna’s lace top with her baby blue full skirt truly made her look like a classic, vintage dream. It proves that bridal does not have to be typical or all out white. From the bold colours of deep purple to marble and gold, it perfectly mixed glamour with natural effects. The floral arrangements were beautifully created, mixing tons of green foliage and vibrant yet soft florals. With raw calligraphy invitations, and the natural elements of fallen trees, it truly boosted this to a destination wedding dream!
